Pinky 2

Pinky 2 is a stereo adaptive spectral balancer designed to gently guide audio toward a selectable noise-based target curve.

It is based on the idea behind the original Pinky beta, which many users continued to use for years, but expands it into a more controlled and adjustable processor. Pinky 2 continuously compares the incoming signal to the selected spectral target and applies small, broad minimum-phase adjustments in that direction.

The Tilt control moves the target between pink noise, with a -3 dB-per-octave slope, and brown noise, with a -6 dB-per-octave slope. The default -4.5 dB-per-octave setting is intended to work well for most commercial music.

Pinky 2 is not designed to replace corrective EQ or fix major tonal problems. It is intended as a final balancing tool for material that is already in good shape, where small and controlled spectral movement can help the source, mix bus, or master feel more settled.

Even at maximum Amount, no individual band is adjusted by more than ±1 dB relative to the selected target curve.

At launch, the full version of Pinky 2 is available to active paying Noisebud Patrons.

Noisebud Patreon membership is $7/month and gives access to 40+ plugins, Reaper scripts, and tools.

Pinky 2 uses an active-membership access model. This means the full version requires an active paid Patreon membership while this access model is active.

Free Patreon followers, former Patrons, and users who are not connected to the Patreon campaign can use Pinky 2 in Demo Mode. Demo Mode adds a short, low-level noise burst once or twice per minute. The DEMO text in the interface can be clicked to temporarily remove the demo noise while listening, but Pinky 2 returns to Demo Mode when rendering or when the project is reopened.

Pinky 2 is not currently available as a one-time purchase.
