Projektra is a standalone environment for inspecting, indexing, searching, and documenting DAW projects without opening them in the DAW itself. It is built for producers, engineers, and composers who need direct access to what a project actually contains: its structure, processing, media dependencies, and searchable metadata.

Instead of treating sessions as opaque files, Projektra parses supported project formats directly and reconstructs them as usable project data. Tracks, clips, plugin chains, media references, tempo, duration, hierarchy, and session statistics become visible immediately, without loading the project in its original workstation. For large archives, this changes the workflow completely: projects stop being filenames and start becoming readable technical objects.

A defining part of the application is its query engine. Projektra does not use a basic text filter. It provides a structured, AST-based search system that allows projects to be queried by plugin name, track name, clip name, item-level FX, BPM, duration, tags, and project metadata, with support for AND, OR, NOT, range queries, and nested logic. This makes it possible to search an archive the way production work is actually remembered: by toolset, arrangement detail, technical condition, or musical context. You can narrow thousands of sessions down to the exact subset that matters, using combinations that remain precise and predictable even at scale.

Search results are not isolated from the session view. Projektra links them directly to the project structure through live visual highlighting in TrackView, so matched tracks, clips, plugins, and item-level effects are shown in context. The result is not just retrieval, but orientation: you can see where a match occurs and how it sits inside the arrangement.

Equally important is the way Projektra turns a loaded project into a shareable technical document. The application can export a self-contained HTML report that captures the project as a complete, readable snapshot. This is not a minimal summary or a simple text export. The report is designed as full documentation of the session state at the moment of export, written into a single HTML file with no external dependencies.

Alongside search and reporting, Projektra provides plugin inventory with found/missing/native status, media path analysis, tag-based organization, preview-file support, and metadata-driven batch copy workflows. It operates independently of the DAW installation, does not modify source files, and performs analysis locally on the machine.

For anyone managing a serious body of production work, Projektra offers two things that are rarely available in one tool: a precise way to search across projects, and a precise way to describe what each project contains.

Key capabilities:

  • Direct parsing of supported DAW project files.
  • Structured metadata search with logical operators and nested expressions.
  • Search by plugins, tracks, clips, item FX, BPM, duration, tags, and project fields.
  • Visual highlighting of matches inside the arrangement view.
  • Detailed project reconstruction with track hierarchy and clip layout.
  • Plugin inventory with found, missing, native, and unused status.
  • Media reference analysis including source paths and offline detection.
  • Self-contained HTML reports with metrics, timeline, plugin inventory, structure, item FX, and media summaries.
  • Tag-based organization and metadata-driven batch copy workflows.

Compatible with

.rpp, .rpp-bak
.als
.song
.dawproject with some format-specific limitations.
