REHEAT

REHEAT is a writing tool that happens to make sound.

Pick a groove, press NEW LINE, and REHEAT composes a bassline. Then drag the MIDI straight out onto a track and play it with whatever bass you already own. The built-in synth is there so you can hear what you are getting — it is not the point.

WHAT IT DOES.

It writes, you keep the MIDI. Every line drags out onto a track as a MIDI clip. REHEAT decides the notes; your own instrument makes the sound.

Ten genre grooves. Acid, hip hop, house, tech house, trance, techno, drum & bass, dub, disco and electro. Each brings its own tempo, pattern length and relationship with the kick.

Chords underneath, not just a scale. The generator moves through a real chord progression — root on the change, chord tones on the beats, passing notes between them, and a chromatic lean into the turnaround.

A riff, not a random walk. One bar is composed as a cell and then replayed against each chord, so the line repeats and becomes a hook instead of wandering. Most generative sequencers roll dice every step; REHEAT writes a motif and develops it.

Locks to your kick. Feed the plugin your drum bus and it follows the beat, correcting its phase without ever restarting the pattern.

Any time signature. It is a writing tool, so it is not stuck in 4/4 — it follows the host's meter or takes one you give it.

And when you do want its voice: a three-layer bass engine (clean sub, detuned body, driven top) through a 24dB/oct cascaded filter with saturation between the stages, resonance-coupled accent, real slides, and a multiband imager that keeps everything below 200Hz in mono.
