Rewind captures every single moment of 'Spontaneous Musical Genius' during a session!

As a musician, you know the feeling: you're jamming, your creativity is on another level... Every measure or two you are breaking out new melodies and riffs you've never played before. Each of these amazing breakthroughs could change your song, your album, and your future forever...

Except for one thing: the tape wasn't rolling...

How many times have you had a moment of musical genius like that, only to try and fail to recreate it? How did it go again? You're not sure exactly what you did, you just know you suddenly realized what you were doing sounded really good.

But what if you had a way to rewind the tape? Even when you were not 'officially' recording, so that you could hear exactly what you did and incorporate it into the song? You could make many more genius songwriting contributions without worrying about 'losing the magic'.

Stay In The Zone and Capture Gold

Rewind is the first app/plugin from MonkeyC that records audio and MIDI data in the background while you do everything else. You simply install the app/plugin, turn it on, and forget it's there.

Whenever you want to recapture the last thing you played, you simply select the Rewind plugin and you can access the past 15 minutes of audio and MIDI data to find that special melody or rhythm from your jam session.

"We came up with this app/plugin because it is every musician's fear that they would play an awesome riff or sing a new melody, and then forget how it went. We believe that this fear leads to inhibitions in the creative process." Says Rewind creator Dennis de Laat of MonkeyC.

"Musicians tend to stay in creative ruts because at least they know they won't forget what they are playing. But with Rewind, now you can capture anything – so you can really let loose without worrying about losing anything. It helps you stay creative and in the moment."

Ive had over a year with Rewind now, and its been great! All prior criticisms were addressed by the dev, long ago, and this software is standard in 100% of my projects and templates now. The dev is awesome, and this tape machine solution is awesome.

I dont know of a single other retrospective solution, whether a native solution like what is in Cubase, or a 3rd party like that 'MIDI-cap', that is as complete and useful as this. This really can grab EVERYTHING at the same time, you totally forget its there, and now it appends project BPM into the track name! This is THE retrospective solution right now.

As of today (1/13/24), Rewind is patched to 2.3.2 and the issue with the internal synth playing a tone is resolved. The Monkey C dev is extremely responsive and always fixes issues quickly.
