Hello..my name is Duarte Vinagre and i own Psytrance Plugins.

I am not an audio engineer nor a coder, i am just an enthusiast that started to learn SynthEdit since 2010.

Today i want to present you RIMEGUN. RIMEGUN is an approach to a DAW designed for the creation of Trap/HipHop/Rap and Dub.

This software is working as standalone for Windows, VST2/VST3 Windows and AU/VST3 on Mac OS X.

Rimegun Creator Studio has been developed by me using SynthEdit by Jeff McClintock and C# using Marc's Jacobi VST.NET library.

I am not going to lie, i used ChatGPT to retreive explanation of how to understand and apply Marc's Jacobi VST.NET code.(i hope this is not against the rules of the Challenge.. i needed to understand the C# code first.).

RIMEGUN CREATOR Studio is defined by 5 VST stations that work with REALT TIME RECORDING and MIDI CONTROLLING. The stations are:

1. RIMEGUN DRUMS - that is a Drum Machine where you can sequence shots and loops (not only drums).
2. RIMEGUN SYNTH - that is an hybrid Vector Synth plus .wav Sampler.
3. RIMEGUN CHOP - a chopping machine where you can perform and edit operations to your loops and samples. Plus...4 slot sequencer where you can sequence chops one after the other.
4. RIMEGUN SCRATCH - dual deck scratching machine (this is not a perfect simulator but can be helpfull for production).
5. RIMEGUN MASTER - you can record up to 4 tracks/stems, treat Vocals, sing into the PC and Master Tracks.

When you open the standalone version, 2 docks appear. One for the Tools and another that is the Transport Run/Bar.
In the tools select the station you want to use. Is not recommended to use more than 3 stations at same time.

The RIMEGUN DRUMS works with 16 pads that load .wav files. Sequence with the step sequencer or use loops, various FX per PAD and Master Output FX.

Record in REAL TIME and re-use as loop. Record full track and apply in RIMEGUN MASTER. Do Improvisation, Live Performance or Finger Drumming.

The RIMEGUN SYNTH is a Vector Synthesizer and a .wav Sampler. 3 play modes and a complete set of FX. Record patterns in REAL TIME, do Automations in REAL TIME and re-use as loop in RIMEGUN DRUMS.

Record full track and apply in RIMEGUN MASTER. Do Improvisation, Live Performance or Studio work.

The RIMEGUN CHOP is a complete Chop Station where you can manipulate samples and loops with tools, FX and Envelopes/LFOs. Sequence up to 4 chops, one after the other.

Record in REAL TIME, do Automations in REAL TIME and re-use as loop in RIMEGUN DRUMS.

The RIMEGUN SCRATCH is a dual deck that plays loops/beats and performs up to 3 ways of scratching.(Normal/Delayed/Digital)..This is not a realistic clone of scratch turntables.

I have introduced my own "updates" and the station is good to crop some loops to help in your productions.(sorry..I was not able to apply PFL in this....).

Record in REAL TIME and apply in RIMEGUN DRUMS as loop/chop or sample.

The RIMEGUN TRACKS/MASTER can play 4 songs/stems/"parts" at same time. Do bouncing..

Also has a Vocal Station where you can treat Vocals with several effects. You can also record INTO the PC.

It also brings a Mastering Station for you to master your songs.

Record in REAL TIME.(i was not able to put a function to export the WAV file without recording.).

Notice that all these station are synced each other...you just have to use the PLAY Buttons of each station and the Master Transport Run.

Also ALWAYS USE THE CLOCK MODE SET TO "T-RUN" in order to record patterns/sounds or match the beats among stations.
