Shy audio introduces the Shy EQT–1M, a precision equalizer designed for mastering, mix-bus processing, and stereo refinement — where accuracy, stability, and translation are essential.

At Shy audio, our tools are built for engineers who demand uncompromised signal integrity. The EQT–1M reflects that philosophy: rather than choosing between stereo-linked, Mid/Side, or independent Left/Right processing, all three domains are active simultaneously within one consistent signal path — fully automatable and accessible at all times. A dedicated indicator lamp system makes domain assignment visible at a glance, keeping the workflow fast and intuitive even in complex multi-domain sessions.

Under the hood, EQT–1M is engineered for numerical accuracy. All filter processing runs at 64-bit floating-point precision internally. In hosts with 64-bit float stream support — such as WaveLab, Cubase, and Reaper — EQT–1M automatically maintains a pure 64-bit float signal path from input to output, with bit-transparent behavior at unity gain.

The EQ curves are designed cramp-free, ensuring smooth and stable high-frequency behavior even at extreme settings. The filters use an adaptive, proportional characteristic: boosts become progressively wider while cuts grow more focused — enabling natural musical enhancement as well as precise corrective shaping, with the Hi Band 2× switch extending the frequency range up to 40 kHz for ultrasonic reach. Up to 8× oversampling is available with real-time switching between Minimum Phase and Linear Phase modes, and clicking the EQT–1M logo engages a subtle, level-dependent output coloration inspired by high-quality op-amp stages.
