The Erica Synths Snare Drum module is a dedicated analog percussion voice that brings a wide spectrum of classic and contemporary snare sounds to your Eurorack system. This 10HP module is meticulously engineered to provide the punch, snap, and body that are essential for creating compelling electronic rhythms. Going beyond simple emulation, it offers a versatile synthesis engine that allows for in-depth sculpting of the snare's timbral characteristics. From tight and crisp acoustic-style snares to deep and booming 909-style hits and noisy, industrial textures, the Snare Drum module is a powerful and flexible tool for any modular percussionist.

The module's sound engine is centered around a manually tunable oscillator, which forms the fundamental tone or "body" of the snare sound. This is complemented by a dedicated noise generator with its own color control, allowing you to shape the "snap" or "rattle" of the snare. A key feature is the balance control, which lets you mix the tone and noise elements to achieve the perfect snare character. The module also includes a voltage-controlled decay parameter for shaping the length of the snare, from short, tight cracks to long, sustained decays. For adding extra punch and harmonic interest, a built-in overdrive circuit can be dialed in to taste. All key parameters, including Tune, Noise Colour, and Decay, are voltage-controllable, enabling dynamic and expressive sequencing. A manual trigger button is also included for easy auditioning of your sounds.
