Overview

SOLID generates a new fundamental one octave below the existing bass in your audio.

With the right settings, it can create a low-end foundation that feels like it was always part of the mix. The goal is not to sound processed, but to add weight in a way that feels natural and integrated.

In many cases, you won't perceive it as "more bass". The mix simply feels deeper, more grounded, and more complete.

Even when the generated frequencies are barely audible, they can change how the mix is perceived:

Because the generated low end follows the existing material, SOLID typically preserves the original punch, transients and clarity.

While it can be used creatively on individual tracks, SOLID is primarily designed for mastering situations where a mix already works, but needs a stronger foundation.

Concept

SOLID was originally developed as a band inside Hmmm, intended to sit below the fundamental. As the idea evolved, it became clear that it required more control than would fit naturally in that context, which led to it becoming a dedicated plugin.
