Sonarwork is still using NET 3.5 for the "new" reference 4 software in 2019. This library is obsolete and replaced with a more modern library. After removing all 3dth party & Microsoft virus scanners I'm still not able to install reference 4 due the .net installation errors in windows 10. A complete clean install is the only solution, reinstalling my drivers, DAW, (plugin, presets, configurations) etc takes me days .. Thank sonarworks.
Ofcource sonarworks blames Microsoft while they know .net 3.5 (released in 2007) is already replaced with .net 4.0 (released in 2010) and recently updated to 4.8 (2019). So I consider this usage of outdated .net 3.5 disturbing for a "new" reference 4 release/update. Why would you cripple your software with obsolete and outdated extensions?
