The free SongEngine MIDI generator plug-in (VST + AU) by FeelYourSound turns your chord progressions into new basslines, melodies, and complex piano phrases — automatically.

The concept is simple:

1. Build your chords.
   Import a MIDI file, drag chords from the Chord Pad Area, or let SongEngine generate a progression for you.
2. Pick a preset.
   Browse dozens of presets — basslines, arpeggios, phrases. Press play in your DAW to preview instantly.
3. Drag to your DAW.
   Like what you hear? Drag & drop the MIDI directly into your session. Done.

SongEngine consists of two main components:

1) Free chord tools:

• Easy-to-use chord progression builder.
• Import any existing MIDI chords.
• Build chord progressions with Chord Pads via drag & drop.
• Contains over 30 chord progression generators for different moods & genres.

2) Free preset packages:

• 60+ presets across multiple free packages.
• Every preset auto-adapts to your chord progression.
• Covers basslines, arpeggios, phrases & melodies.
• Hand-selected presets for a wide range of common songwriting tasks.

SongEngine is designed to be lightweight and fast. No music theory knowledge is required, but experienced producers will find many tools to build advanced types of chord progressions quickly.

You can expand SongEngine with a wide range of optional genre-specific extensions, e.g., for Trance, Hip Hop, House, or Chillout.
