Sonic Bass: ONE is a FREE (or pay-what-you-want) virtual electric bass plugin, available for PC and MAC as VST, VST3 and AU (Mac).

Key Features:

Smooth and deep sounding electric bass (synthesized, then multi-sampled).
Tone knob - run it wide open for normal sound or reduce it for a mellower, deeper sound.
Volume knob - lets you adjust the level, to suit.
Onscreen keyboard - allows you to audition the sound.
Polyphony mode - play in Legato (most bass-like), Monophonic, or Polyphonic (more than one note at a time, for harmonies and chords).
Round-robin samples - for a more natural, organic sound.
Three LED buttons, at bottom right, state the plugin's name when clicked.
