Well, so...once you've downloaded the .zip file you need to do this:

• Decompress the folder
• Decompress Max 6 Runtime folder or download it from here (http://cycling74.com/downloads/)
• Install Max 6 Runtime
• Download Jack (Virtual Audio Cables) from here (http://jackaudio.org/download)
• Install Jack
• Double click on Spectrumk Analyzer S8.mxf to open it
• Then, open the Spectrum Analyzer Manual and check the Audio Setting parts to configure the app and your software, in this case FL Studio. There is also a video tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le8wfS_nh90

Ferez, it is really easy to use once you have done this first setting. Please let me now if you have any trouble but I don't think you will have! Cheers!

Charly Romero [remove]
this is a good idea, but the installation is complicated. Why not share the dll file?

Charly thanks for the words and the suggestion, I guess in the future I will create a dll file. At this moment is a standalone app which you can use it with virtual cables if you are working with a DAW or with several (up to eight) analog/digital inputs. On the other hand i do not think its a difficult installation, once you have installed Max/MSP 6 Runtime you only have to route audio from your DAW to the Spectrum Analyzer S8 with virtual cables. There is a tutorial in the manual and also a video tutorial on youtube that shows you how to do this. Hope you like it. Cheers!

kevin,

i'll sure try your steps later, anyways, i think this is the most usefull plugin in the competition, so my 5 poins definitely goes to you. hope you'll release it as VST in the near future, even as a commercial plugin will still be great :)

Hey, thank you so much ferez! There is a kind of VST version but only runs on Ableton Live because it was developed in M4L (max for live). Again many thanks and stay tuned 'cause I will continue updating this app, this is just the first version. Cheers!

Great application! Its much easier to use it in Mac though. But i guess its because of Windows's virtual cables. I've tried it in both OS and in Mac (with Soundflower) I've configured it in two seconds while In Windows it took me more time because of Jack. Anyway, congratulations!

Zack, I'm glad you like it. And yes, it's much easier in Mac with Soundflower. I hope someday Cycling74 develop Soundflower for PC!

Hi, you have nothing to install. This is a standalone appication. So you just click on Spectrum Analyzer S8.exe (the one with the icon) and it must work. Im writing this from a windows 7 computer and Spectrum Analyzer S8 works flawlessly. Please read the manual which is inside the .zip file. Cheers.

I guess I'm too much of a newby to understand some of the discussion here. I just purchased SA8 as it seemed it would do what I need in Garageband. I have yet to make it work, or get a grip on what the settings mean, including some in the youtube vid that don't seem to exist on my system (safire?). I did get Soundflower, I just can't seem to get it all together..

Can anyone direct me about where to find exact step by step instruction of setting in each part of this and each app to make it work? Thanks..
