The secret is powerful spectral processing, combined with sophisticated controls, wrapped in a suite designed to completely rewrite the DNA of your basslines, synths, and subs. While engineered with a heavy focus on mutating bass, Squelcher's advanced spectral architecture makes it a versatile tool for increasing the energy of all sorts of audio. Alongside stadium-shattering low-end transformations, this versatile plugin ensures that basslines also effectively translate to phone speakers and smaller systems - injecting harmonics that bite back.

Spectacular Spectrals

At the heart of the plugin is a dedicated spectral morphing engine that deconstructs, filters, and reshapes your incoming signal:

• Frequency Splitter & Tilt: Take control over the signal split, dialling in the precise crossover frequency where the spectral engine triggers. Then use the Bass/Treble Tilt to perfectly balance the ratio between the low-end weight and high-end grit.
• Squelch & Depth: Sculpt the fundamental tone and texture of the effect with the Squelch dial. Crank the Depth control to drive the spectral processing to its limits, creating vowel-like movement and aggressive digital artefacts.
• Quality: Shift between several distinct algorithm modes. Each setting alters the digital character of the spectral processing, providing everything from smooth, phase-coherent movement to jagged, gritty overtones.

FX Enhancements

Give your sound a professional polish, or drive hard for complete devastation, with a suite of custom-tuned modules built specifically for bass production:

• Bass Enhancement: Inject thick, low-end sub-harmonics into your signal, ensuring your basslines translate perfectly even on smaller speakers.
• Treble Saturation: Drive a touch of harmonic distortion directly into the high frequencies, adding crucial crispness and presence for ultimate cut-through.
• Detail Booster & Tone: Use the Detail Booster to resurrect the quietest parts of your audio signal to bring out hidden features. The Tone slider effortlessly emphasises deep lows or aggressive highs.

Multiband Compression

Keep the chaos under control with an integrated, highly responsive multiband compressor, tailored to lock your dynamics in place:

• Comp & Time: Crank up the compression to smash your transients into a wall of sound, using the Time control to dial in the perfect response speed for fast-moving basslines or sustained notes.
• Tone: Balance the compression ratio between the low and high frequency bands, ensuring your sub stays locked down while your top end breathes.

Visual Feedback & Comparison

Squelcher is built on vector graphics with a resizable interface. The live frequency displays show the processing in action, depicting exactly what's happening to the processed signal as it travels through the plugin in real time. This allows for accurate monitoring at every step of the chain. AB Comparison auditions the different tweaks you make, whilst Undo & Redo allow for experimentation.

Presets

Many varied factory presets are included within Squelcher, giving quick access to useful transformational options - and some more out-there settings too. From subs to screechers. use these starting points to create low-end loveliness, and then adjust the settings to taste.
