Sunwarp

Sunwarp is a saturation and distortion plugin built around a single, continuous drive circuit. Turn the gain up slowly and it eases from clean through warm harmonic saturation into full, compressed drive — no mode switches, no abrupt jumps, just a smooth crossfade through three distinct saturation characters as the circuit gets hotter.

The signal chain is designed to stay out of your way. A highpass at 35 Hz keeps low-frequency mud from feeding the drive stage, a presence boost at 3.2 kHz adds definition that holds up under heavy saturation, and a mud cut at 320 Hz engages automatically when drive crosses the threshold to keep the midrange clean. A tone control sweeps a lowpass filter across the full frequency range, shaping everything from bright and open to dark and dense.

Oversampling is user-selectable up to 8x and scales automatically to your session's sample rate so you always get the maximum quality the CPU budget allows. A parallel dry/wet mix blends the processed signal against your clean signal directly inside the plugin — stack it on a send, blend it in series, or run it parallel on a bus. Forty factory presets cover the full range from subtle glue to heavy clipping:

• Three drive characters in one knob - Clean passthrough, warm smooth saturation with sustain compression, and full hard drive — all accessed through a single gain control that crossfades continuously between them. No mode buttons, no clicks.
• Presence boost & adaptive mud cut - A fixed +1 dB presence peak at 3.2 kHz keeps definition intact under heavy drive. A −2.5 dB cut at 320 Hz engages automatically above the drive threshold to prevent low-mid buildup without any extra controls.
• Tone control - A sweepable lowpass filter that shapes the character of the entire signal chain — from bright and open to dark and dense — with zero-allocation real-time coefficient updates so there's no click when you move it.
• Up to 8x oversampling - User-selectable 2x, 4x, or 8x oversampling for aliasing-free saturation. Maximum allowed factor scales automatically with your session's sample rate so quality stays high without overloading your CPU.
• Parallel dry/wet mix - Blend the processed signal against your clean signal directly inside the plugin. Works equally well as a serial insert, a blend on a bus, or a dedicated saturation send.
• Input and output metering - Real-time peak and RMS meters on both sides of the chain so you know exactly what's going in and coming out.
• 40 factory presets - Covers the full range from subtle glue and harmonic warmth to heavy clipping and creative distortion. Save, load, and delete your own presets on top — all parameters restore with your session.
