Swell

Swell is a sample-based virtual instrument built for creating rich, evolving textures—perfect for expressive botanica swells.

Layer 21 curated packs of foley, water recordings, spectral effects, and swooshes to craft your own unique soundscapes.

With spectral gating, lush reverb, and flexible EQ, Swell provides all the essential FX you need to sculpt, shape, and bring botanica swells to life.

Controls:

• Playback Mode – Choose between 'normal', which plays each sample for the length the key is held and '1shot', which plays each sample in full.
• Direction – Choose between playing each sample forward or backwards.
• Distance – Adjusts the distance the cursor dot is from the center, changing the mix between the three swell sources (%).
• Angle – Adjusts the angle of the cursor dot from the center, changing the mix between the three swell sources (°).
• Thresh (spectral gate) – only allow frequency components above or below a particular cut-off amplitude.
• Balance (spectral gate) – Controls the mix between below and above the cut-off amplitude (%).
• Mix (spectral gate) – mix of the spectral gate effect (%).
• Size (reverb) – controls the perceived dimensions of the virtual reverb space (%).
• Damp (reverb) – controls how quickly high frequencies are absorbed as the reverberation decays (%).
• Mix (reverb) – mix of the reverb effect (%).
• EQ – add and adjust EQ bands to shape your sound.
• Width – controls stereo widening effect (%).
• Gain – volume of signal (dB).

Swell is also available as a standalone sample pack, containing all samples as .wav files.
