Swords

The Behringer Swords is a powerful and flexible dual analog multimode filter for Eurorack, based on the innovative Mutable Instruments Blades. This module offers two identical and highly versatile state-variable filters that can be used independently or combined for complex stereo processing and sophisticated sound sculpting. With its continuously variable filter response and a unique routing system, Swords excels at creating dynamic, evolving textures that go far beyond traditional filtering techniques.

Each of the two filters can be continuously morphed from low-pass through band-pass to high-pass, allowing for seamless sweeps across different filter types. A dedicated drive circuit for each filter can be adjusted from subtle soft clipping to an aggressive two-stage wavefolder, adding rich harmonics and grit to the signal. The most powerful feature of Swords is its routing control, which allows you to continuously crossfade the filters from running in parallel to running in series. When a signal is patched into the second filter's input, this routing knob becomes a crossfader between the two filters. With full CV control over all parameters, Swords is a deep and expressive tool for any sound designer.
