Tesseract

Tesseract is a modular software synthesizer and sampler designed around flexible signal routing, layered sound generation and a clear visual workflow.

At its core, Tesseract provides up to eight independent oscillator or sampler modules. Each source can be assigned freely to any of up to five mixer channels, allowing complex layered sounds, parallel processing chains and multi-stage routing setups to be created within a single instrument instance.

The flexible mixer architecture makes it possible to group multiple sound sources, process them independently and combine them at different stages of the signal path. Oscillators and samplers are not locked to fixed channels, giving users direct control over how each layer is routed and processed.

Tesseract also features an extensive LFO/ADSR/Random modulation system. LFOs can be assigned to almost any modulatable parameter, making it possible to create anything from subtle movement to complex, evolving patches. Every LFO is represented by its own color throughout the interface, so modulation assignments can be identified immediately. This color-coded workflow makes it easy to understand which LFO controls which parameter, even in heavily modulated sounds.

A central design goal of Tesseract is to keep the complete sound structure visible, inspired by web browsers and their tab system. Instead of hiding important sections behind multiple pages or deeply nested menus, all major synthesis, sampling, routing, modulation and processing modules can be viewed at a glance. This makes complex patches easier to understand, edit and reproduce.
