TORO

The Behringer TORO is an authentic recreation of a legendary and powerful analog bass synthesizer from the 1970s, famous for its earth-shaking low-end and simple, intuitive interface. This desktop/Eurorack module captures the raw sonic power and pure analog signal path of the original bull-themed monosynth, making its classic sound accessible to modern producers. With its dual oscillators, classic 4-pole low-pass filter, and unique performance controls, the TORO excels at creating incredibly fat, punchy, and resonant bass sounds that can form the foundation of any track.

The architecture of the TORO is straightforward yet incredibly potent. It features two analog oscillators, one with sawtooth and the other with square/pulse waveforms, which can be tuned and mixed to create rich, complex tones. The signal is then fed into the legendary 4-pole ladder-style filter, renowned for its warm, musical character and powerful resonance. The filter is controlled by a dedicated ADSR envelope, while the VCA has its own separate ADS envelope generator. Unique performance controls like "Glide" and "Decay" are central to its playability. The semi-modular design, with its comprehensive 19-point patch bay, allows for extensive sound design possibilities and seamless integration with other modular and CV-equipped gear, while MIDI and USB provide full connectivity with modern studio setups.
