TOXIC Zebra is the first set of patches created by John Lehmkuhl and Seth Norman for u-he's amazing Zebra2 synthesizer. This is totally a TOXIC library with some really amazing aggressive EDM synth sounds, that is not all this library is. It's far more than that with 135 patches - many that will work for film projects, commercials, pop music and other genres beyond the distorted and TOXIC genres.
On top of the fact that there is a variety of patches, the patches themselves have been programmed to use the 4 XY Real-time panels to change EACH Patch radically. So while there is 1 bright unison Sawtooth pad, using XY2 you can make many different variations because it's changing thru the wavetable shapes to produce different pad sounds. You will also find the Modulation wheel programmed to do extensive changes to the sounds. All of this flexibility means that you can easily change the sounds depending on YOUR musical productions. So many libraries provide no way of changing the patch so you only get 1 sound. But these patches are programmed to be the opposite - as flexible and dynamic as possible.
All 135 patches use the SAME Layout for the vector controls - so you know where to go to change the sound.
On top of the patches, there are over 30 custom Wavetables designed by John and Seth. The Wavetables are created by hand inside of Zebra2 because it has no waveform import abilities. Some of the wavetables were created by using oscilliscopes to evaluate the waveform from a different synth and then re-create that waveform inside the Wavetable/OSC editor.
Requires Zebra2 version 2.7 or later.
