Soundiron's Tuned Artillery library is a metallic tuned percussion library for Kontakt. It features authentic WWI/WWI field artillery shell casings, a Cold War era combat helmet and several deactivated anti-personnel hand grenades, recorded as bright, rich, harmonic tuned and untuned metal percussion. The artillery shells and helmet were recorded in a large concert hall, with 3 mic positions (close, mid and far) for a classic anvil-like concert percussion effect that blurs the line between dramatic aggressive percussion and melodic tuned percussion. These classic sounds have been used in modern and experimental symphonic music dating back to the 1950s.
Each of them has also been recorded in a close, intimate and totally dry environment, using sticks, soft mallets, rubber mallets, hard mallets, brushes, fingers, hammers and other objects on various striking surfaces. We also recorded a collection of hand grenades (safely decommissioned of course), with clacking, clicking, rattling, pin pulls and other sharp percussion sound effects.
The Mega-Mixer master presets feature several powerful tools to allow personalization, with the ability to design custom divisi and full ensembles on the fly. Each element in the assignable matrix allows full control over mix, pan, tuning, dynamic focus and more. These features allow you to use just the resources you need, while creating the perfect keyboard layout for your personal work-flow.
Standard automatable parameters include attack, release, pitch shifting, tuning and offset in every instrument, allowing custom tonal and response shaping. We've also included tempo-synching LFOs, full 3 band EQs and FX filters, as well as our custom convolutions and integrated algorithmic reverb FX. There's also a deep collection of soundscapes, pads and ambient drones, sculpted from the library source material to provide ideal textural accompaniment.
The full version of Native Instruments Kontakt version 4.2.4 or later is required to use all .nki instrument program presets in this library. The free Kontakt "Player" does not support this product.
