VBAN Receptor

VBAN-Receptor is a simple application to receive and plays back VBAN audio stream on your preferred device. It supports all audio formats, in any sample rate, from 1 to 8 channels (7.1). VBAN protocol, designed for Audio Pro and Audiophiles, is a new IP-Based protocol, developed by Vincent Burel, to bring a simple solution to transport HD-Audio over IP on any local network infrastructure (LAN or WLAN).

With the VBAN Receptor Application, it is now possible to turn any device into wireless headphone to listen to music or watch TV or DVD. VBAN protocol is a real time protocol offering low latency audio streaming (below 30 ms). Then it is possible to make silent concert or any personal audio reinforcement in numerous situations: Theatre, Opera, Conference, Educational, Audio Guide and any workflow related to very local radio broadcasting.

Voicemeeter implements VBAN functions to send or/and receive audio to/from other computers of a local network. Then Voicemeeter can be used to send audio to VBAN-Receptor. Developed like a "RADIO " transmitter / receiver system, VBAN is very simple to configure and allow to send one or several real time streams to one or several or even all devices of the network (255 IP Addresses).

VBAN-Receptor Application is available for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android devices (from version 4.2), PC (Windows XP, VISTA, WIN7, WIN8, WIN8.1, WIN10 32/64-bits) and Linux through an open source project called vbanreceptor.
