Woodwindulator

Non-authentic woodwind instruments created with vintage electronic circuits, analogue modular synths and a whole lot of tapemachines.

Instead of recording all kinds of sounds from one particular sound source, the project for Woodwindulator was to record wooden sounding timbres from different 70ties synthesizer systems that we had access to.

To add some character, we drove the sounds through rounds and rounds of tapemachines. Some patches are even tripple-taped, in stereo.
