Could NOT believe that this was a free synth! The sound and set up/GUI is so different than the normal free VST's from the early 2000's ... So many new synths have stayed the same; using either straight forward interface, or small differentials of the same conceptions. But when devs think "outside" the box and build a synth that works for the instrument, that's when magic happens.

But Don't build a synth JUST TO BE outside the box.

Brilliant sound, very versatile, very unique. I tested it and fall immediately in love with it. Beside this the optical effects are great as well.

This for me is the best free synth ever made to this point, i consider myself more of a sound explorer, not a music producer, Zyklop invites you to enter a world of unheard sounds, the V2 resynthesizing engine is high quality, you can keep the overall character of a sample or twist it beyond recognition.

Soundscapes and drones is what i love and Zyklop with low speed LFO on the playhead can create amazing drones and soundscapes from a 1 sec drum hit, the effects available are great and more than enough to further shape the sound to your liking.

just testing it for a few minutes but the sound is huge .

a lot of presets give definitively 5 stars for great sound.
