The only thing I can say isn't good about this are the envelopes, which are stock synthedit envelopes and are very awkward to work with. Otherwise this is a wonderful plugin to have, as it comes with tons of options and is capable of loading custom waveforms (if those waveforms are 16-bit, which some synths like Serum by Xfer can create).

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about anything developed by Analog Obsession. This plugin is really simple and easy to work with, yet it sounds amazing. It also has a beautiful UI, of coarse. Stuff like this could easily cost you hundreds of dollars, however this and everything else by this dev is free to download.

Trash

Really unfortunate to see what as been done with this plugin. While this plugin itself is not bad, Trash 2 was superior in many ways, such as having a delay, modulatable EQ, and a mastering section, while this only features the distortion and convolve modules. This may be enough for many, however Trash 2 is capable of custom waveshapes, while this is not. Some may find the UI to be better in this iteration, and I understand why, however I think this new UI is visually more boring then Trash 2.

I would argue it isn't really worth even the upgrade price, as even it's most unique feature (that being the morphing of four different shapes) can be done to a greater degree with other plugins like BLEASS's Fusion, which not only is less expensive then the upgrade price, it allows you to use full wavetables as distortion curves. Even Trash 2 to an extent could morph the waveshape.

Not a bad plugin, however it is very disappointing compared to the previous iteration.

This is quite a fun synth. It is an improvement over the original, adding new features, a better UI (even if it's mostly just a simple color change), and fixing issues with the original, one of those being the clunky synthedit knobs. In previous plugins by this developer, the knobs would be both the kind where you drag around it and the kind where you drag up and down. I am fine with either, but when it is both at the same time, it leads to a really weird feel overall. There is a lot of aliasing if you do not turn on fixed size buffers (at least in FL Studio, not sure about other DAWs), which isn't a problem, just a good thing to keep in mind if you choose to try this synth.

There are two things I do not like, the first being that every time a note is pressed, it makes a little beep sound, which can sound good, but not something I want for every sound. This seems to be an issue with lower sample rates. The second is that the envelope resets for all notes, rather then just the one that is being played (which would be cool as an option you could toggle).

Overall one of this developer's most polished synths, however the beep sound you get from lower sample rates is something that I hope is resolved soon.

There isn't much to be said that hasn't already about this synth. It is simply incredible. There are so many options and it both sounds and looks wonderful, especially the new UI which was released mid-2025. It is absolutely worth your attention.

This plugin has the potential. Their are a good number of options for synthesis included with this plugin, and their are a lot of interesting and fun things in this synth. Unfortunately it has issues that make it quite hard to enjoy using, such as certain settings not saving, the UI being laggy, and it's CPU use being incredibly high. I do hope that this plugin receives new updates in the future, as I believe it could be an incredible plugin.

Honestly, for $10, this plugin was worth it. It sounds incredible, and it's UI is perfect in every way. Each oscillator has three shaping knobs, making it capable of some interesting yet still very much so analog sounds.

This synth is solid, offering a well made UI and a pretty good sound. I am not someone who uses presets, however despite that, I find that a lot of them are a bit lackluster. It is also functionally rather standard, which isn't exactly a problem, however I believe it is on the more pricey side for what it offers (however I did get this synth for free, which in that case it was absolutely worth downloading). Overall, good synth for bread and butter sound design.

A really simple yet really fun and powerful FM synth. It isn't the most complex synth that I have, however it absolutely is a wonderful addition to my collection.

Despite what the listing for Mesh says, this plugin is actually free on the developer's website. It is a simple yet very powerful three oscillator subtractive synth. It also includes a good amount of modulation capability, as well as a pretty good looking UI.
