What a fantastic synth this is. I used to have a DW8000 - a much under-rated synth - and this sounds exactly like it. The user interface is completely in keeping with the original, and using it has the same feel. In particular, the DW's five-stage envelopes are faithfully replicated - these are important for its sounds. I've managed to recreate some of my favourites from long ago. It's hard to believe it's offered free: you really should make a donation.
Two things I'd suggest: There used to be a Turbo DW expansion for the DW8000 by Musitronics/Angel City Audio that added some useful functions, such as sample-and-hold on the LFO. It would be great to see those features included in a revision. Also, I've not been able to get the import tape dump function to work - it would be nice to have more information on the options and process in the manual.
But this is a hard synth to fault - I love it.

I too had a CS01, but my love for this VST is not based (just) on nostalgia. Set up two instances of Hahaha CSO1; dial in two very slightly different PWM string sounds; detune the two instances against one another; add in the polyphony and some reverb; and you are in strings heaven. Putting the VST through TAL's Juno chorus takes it to another dimension. If only there were a 64-bit version.
