I absolutely love SSO. I has everything I need for soft instrumental to full blown orchestral. Sounds are great and meshes well with other libraries. It has more options than I will probably ever use. I have several other libraries but SSO is my go to. I write music for myself but sometimes I have made music for wedding/family videos. My goal is to score music to my own videos once I get a little better at videography. SSO has all I need to make this happen. It is a large library and rather intensive on CPU/memory, so I built a nice windows PC with 64gb memory, 4tb storage and 12th gen i7 CPU so that it plays nice with Ableton and SSO. It gives me plenty of headroom to load everything. After buying several libraries Like East west Orchestra, Fantasy Orchestra, The Score and Komplete Collectors I have found that SSO is the best so far. I waffled on SSO vs BBCSO core but went with SSO due to the inclusion of solo instruments, additional instruments and various articulations. The performance patches are absolutely amazing. No regrets.
Another great instrument from NI. It really helps in Melodic trance and Orchestral Hybrid. The play series is a great collection of sounds that you can cultivate what ever you are feeling. The interface is easy to understand and there is a lot under the hood. Utopia is another nice addition to my arsenal of sounds.
