Version reviewed: 1.1 on Windows
As previous reviews are obsolete I want to add an up-to-date review.
So, for the latest version there is full information about cursor point (frequency and amplitude). This makes such a low rating for the plugin irrelevant.
The Seeker do very precise analysis, runs smoothly on Linux (latest Ardour and Reaper via yabridge tested), has nice set of parameters (hardly remember any analyzers with 1/192-octave) and costs nothing.
Thank you, Himiltungl Labs.
I've used it for some time, but font rendering makes it hard to operate on my laptop. Sound was good, maybe sometimes little "squashed" but generally ok.
Now I replaced it with https://www.kvraudio.com/product/arppe2600va_by_voltkitchen and https://www.kvraudio.com/product/vital-by-matt-tytel.
It is so perfect I can't express all of my joy using it.
It has smoothest UI, many built-in effects, native Linux support, amazing morphing controls, sleek modulation representation and it's free.
Definitely, my go-to synth.
I have never was a "modualr-guy", but this giant is really outstanding piece of software. I just got sucked into endless cable playing. But it's so easy to get overwhelmed by thousands of different modules. So, good discipline is a must :).
Verdict:
- Awesome sound quality.
- Awesome debugging possibilities.
- "Dark room" mode.
- Tons of free stuff in library.
- Great community.
