I found the installation to be pretty straight forward once I figured out that you can download the entire software package and install only what you want to. Easy. Once you have registered it with waves it shoots your authorization to iLok and you can go through the wonderful process with iLok. I do not consider this a fault of Waves but I sure do wish that they would have used syncrosoft. I do not favor iLok.

One thing that I would like to point out with this software is just how little CPU it takes on a modern computer. For how good it sounds it is VERY efficient. My experience with it stability has been no issue at all. It feels total solid. Every time I open a plug-in from them I fear that the iLok will freak out or some problem will happen but now a few months later I am beginning to feel a little more relaxed.

I have been using these side by side with UAD and would like to make some comparisons.

The work flow with the Pluigchild is MUCH better than with the Fairchild. It takes me a fraction of the amount of time to get a good result. It is much cleaner and offers harmonic distortions. So I am told. It does sound more "excited" when pushed.

The EQ's again are less distorted sounding. But here I feel it is more of a matter of taste. The UAD plug-ins offer more distortion and a sense of fullness. This is very useful as well.

Both taste great!

This review is a little quick and dirty but I am seeing less and less reviews here so I thought I would try and start.
