Bliss 3.6 released featuring Automatic Sampling

Bliss is a professional sampler with VST/AU instrument recording capabilities, Visual Key Mapper, built-in wave editor, and comprehensive format support including AKAI S5000/S6000, NKI, EXS, SFZ, and SoundFont2.

Bliss 3.6 introduces a powerful Automatic Sampling system for standalone builds, enabling you to sample audio directly from any input device and create multi-zone instruments with professional quality.

MIDI-Triggered Recording:

  • Automatically captures audio when MIDI notes are played.
  • Configure note range (First Key to Last Key).
  • Velocity layer support with adjustable velocity ranges.

Flexible Recording Options:

  • Time-based recording with configurable duration and tail settings.
  • Stereo, Mono Mix, Mono Left, or Mono Right channel modes.

  • Continuous background capture ensures no audio is missed.

Professional Post-Processing:

  • Automatic normalization for consistent levels.
  • Zero-crossing snap for clean loop points.
  • Crossfade loops for seamless playback.
  • Fadeout tail processing.
  • Smart tube-style saturation for hot signals (automatic analog warmth when audio exceeds 0dB).

Save Format Options:

  • None: Keep samples in memory only.
  • SFZ: Export as industry-standard SFZ + WAV files in organized subfolders.
  • ZBP: Save as single Bliss Program file with embedded FLAC samples.

Root Note Control:

  • "Root at First Key" option: place root note at the start or middle of your key range.
  • Ideal for drum kits (root at first key) or melodic instruments (root at middle).

Quality Tiers:

  • Demo version: 16-bit FLAC with 8-bit quantized audio.
  • Licensed version: Full 24-bit FLAC for maximum fidelity.
