PARANOIA is a wild and versatile distortion effect, inspired by the sounds of industrial music and vintage chiptune gear.

The session for the audio in this video almost exclusively uses PARANOIA as a mix effect. Ten instances are variously used as EQ, amp sim, distortion, filter, and compressor (there is also one stock reverb, one stock EQ and a basic mastering processor, all used sparingly).

Our first version of PARANOIA was added as a free contribution to the Reaper audio workstation software in 2010. Fifteen years later, this commercial release is a ground-up rewrite: optimized, extended and improved in every way.

From light "analog" overdrive, to moderate crunch, through to complete waveform annihilation: PARANOIA delivers an expansive sonic palette.
