Fragment - Getting started : additive + granular ambient soundscapes workflow

Fragment is an online collaborative additive / spectral / granular live-coding platform, the spectrum is created by a live GPU script, the generated visual is then converted to audio by an additive process (re-synthesis)

This is a video of a from scratch live additive + granular ambient soundscapes session which show a complete workflow without any interruptions.

This video serve as an introduction/tutorial on the usage of Fragment with a DAW, how to start Fragment sessions and output some sounds, it also show how to do some of the things shown in other videos.

This use granular synthesis heavily with ~50 samples loaded.

The features presented in this video are simple and centered around the core functionnality of Fragment without much code nor specific features except the usage of mathematical functions, ADSR, portamento, videos, multi-channels setup, everything else is centered around the sample code given when you start any Fragment sessions.

The code of the session can be downloaded here : https://www.fsynth.com/data/tutorial.txt .

Some amount of reverb/delay effect is added inside Renoise DAW, low-pass filters are used on granular tracks because Fragment play the grains sample as-is, MIDI sequences are coming from Renoise.
