Tritonet v3
Tritonet v3 is a harmonic composition and transformation system for Ableton Live that turns the Circle of Fifths into an active control surface for MIDI and audio.
Rather than treating harmony as static theory or scale locking, Tritonet acts as a musical calculator: a central harmony engine that defines chord progressions, tonal movement, and harmonic context, then distributes that information across your entire Live set.
At the core is a polyphonic chorder that builds four-voice chords with dynamic voice leading. Each voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) can be followed independently by MIDI tracks, allowing melodies, basslines, pads, and counterpoint to flow inside the same harmonic model. Harmony is stored as clips, making chord progressions editable, automatable, and reusable like any other musical material.
Tritonet includes a library of 600+ scales, ranging from pentatonic and natural scales to compound and extended "crystal" structures. A visual Circle of Fifths map lets you navigate tonal tension and resolution intuitively: clockwise movement increases harmonic tension, counterclockwise brings resolution.
Beyond MIDI, Tritonet can also apply harmonic awareness to audio, enabling pitch-related transformations and resonation effects that stay musically grounded. The system supports full MPE (including Slide), GPU-accelerated visuals in v3, snapshot-based harmonic states, and optional computer-to-computer MIDI networking.
Tritonet is designed for composers, producers, and sound designers who think in harmonic motion rather than fixed keys, and who want harmony to behave as a living structure across an entire project instead of a constraint on individual clips.
