Oli Larkin has announced a new plug-in bundle which includes Dronebox2 and a new effect called Polycomb.

Dronebox is a VST effect that can turn your guitar into a sitar. It is a bank of six resonant, tunable comb filters with extensive modulation options. It can be used to create lush evolving drones or to add resonance to drums or whatever source material you wish to process.

Version 2 has a new GUI, enhanced modulation and excitation possibilities plus a reverb effect. It also has a built in help section, manual and presets.

Features:

  • 6 comb filters that can be tuned by note name (e.g. C2), frequency (Hz) or by MIDI input.
  • Volume, Pan, Polarity, Damping and Decay time controls for each comb filter.
  • An Oscillator to reinforce the drone.
  • Advanced Excitation section to feed the comb filters with different noise.
  • Resonant filter.
  • Four LFOs and a Modulation Matrix.
  • Pitch bender to adjust the pitch of all combs at once.
  • Delay effect.
  • Reverb effect.
  • Tool tips for each section.

PolyComb is also a VST effect. It is similar to Dronebox but the comb filters are controlled by polyphonic MIDI input. This allows rapid chord changes with up to 32 note polyphony.

Features:

  • 32 note polyphonic comb filter controlled via MIDI or onscreen keyboard.
  • Up to 6 voices of Unison for thick detuned effects.
  • Advanced Excitation section to feed the comb filters with different noise.
  • ASR Envelope which can be routed to Volume, Filter Cutoff and Pitch.
  • Two LFOs for the pitch and filter.
  • Resonant filter.
  • Pitch bender to adjust the pitch of all combs at once.
  • Delay effect.
  • Preset chord generator with five chord types.
  • Presets and Manual.

The two plugins will be sold together for GB£25 or GB£20 if you already own an Oli Larkin plug-in. They are also available bundled with the Endless Series and Spacestation for GB£40 (a saving of GB£5).

Demo versions will be available soon.
