Is ReFX nexus 2 worth getting?

I also was thinking that there would come something new like a nexus 3. There are so many good sounds that a new architecture can bring it to next levels. Like new FX in sample manipulation and morph features. A modern interface with modern browser - hope it will be backward compatible to my NKS Library

who knows? You should define your own criteria.
In my case, I decided to use one 'rompler' only, and that's NI Kontakt. (and this can be even more useful)

Nexus 2 is is already resizable up to 200% (but it gets quite blurry when resized) and it also has a pretty decent arpeggiator built in.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:17 am For fun, here's a list of the top things I'd be looking for:

There is only one proper use of the term fake news, and it is literally when what is reported is "faked" I.E. made up rumors or allegations with zero proof, sort of like 95% of mainstream media in America. Almost everything they report eventually turns out to be a lie. So the term is actually a good shield to protect the more gullible from believing anything they hear or read on a meme.
Nexus is still rather rare in the vst market for what it offers. I've always been a fan of Xpand and would love to see an Xpand 3.

Looking forward to the next version of Nexus, regardless of whether or not it is opened up (and I suspect it will not be). I think its already known that the browser will be overhauled and can't come soon enough.

Nexus sounds totally amazing. I don't know how they do it but from what I understand it is more than just a rompler.

Oops, my bad on the Arpeggiator - I was thinking that often when I go to tweak it I can't, but that's because many seem to be fully sampled sequences. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't, depends how they designed the patch.
Thanks for the resize tip too, found it eventually on the back panel. Yeah, that seems to be just a blow up - better than nothing but a proper reizable gui would be very welcome.

Go with Avenger instead, since it also has a sampler engine, and the presets are made by the same guy(s). Avenger is way more modern and offers a lot of advanced synthesis unlike nexus.

However avenger is not as sophisticated of a sampler, so don’t expect anything like the Hollywood expansion

I would say save the money and look into Freshlysqueezedsamples for amazing professional presets. Nexus is a money sink once you go down that path.
Also the USB dongle kept me from getting cubase so yeah.... Having one for Nexus is also a no go for me.
