And sadly those same people feed and validate the accelerated rhythm of developing new features for this synth and the result is a continous beta after (almost?) 2 years of development.

I read a lot of these "2 years in beta" comments. Just to say I don't think I've ever had it crash once here on W10 and Cubase 9, its solid and reliable here, CPU use very manageable. Not saying that there can't be problems on other systems, but a bit of context perhaps.

Just saying: I've tried the current demo again. Still there's randomly a loud noise burst, most often when switching presets (doesn't matter if quick or in a slow fashion). GUI still randomly opens as black screen or even more rarely goes black after resizing with the indicator in the bottom right. These bugs have been there since the initial release... Also mentioned often in this thread: if you use cubase on windows and have a nvidia graphics card, you're probably good to go because that's the devs environment.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 8:42 am I read a lot of these "2 years in beta" comments. Yes they are and the sequence presets especially, have alot of elements going on and options to change, tweak, and implement. This pack will never be on sale for $30 considering the time, gear, resources and love that went into it. vps and ReFX (basicly the same people) copied our guitar and strumming ideas. Actually updated vps right after our chat about it and released theyre own guitar packs under ReFX and its sounds good but they want $80 for it. They put alot of money into they're marketing campaigns and SEO so I understand that their price has to cover all they're expenses but I agree, they're packs are alot.. We would have released the acoustic guitars a year ago but VPS wanted to charge us $1800 for 500 licenses to use they're key file system. We thought about it for awhile and decided we would not pay them that amount of money being that this literally cost them nothing, just the click of a button and they could generate codes and hand them out, maybe a lilttle extra bandwidth usage on they're servers at the most. If they would have gave a more reasonable price they could have potentially started a never ending cycle of us paying them and promoting they're product for free but they are greedy and not good business people. with that being said I will put the Acoustic Guitar Expansion on sale today till the end of December for $45. That is the best offer I can give for this pack.

Actually, $1800 USD to key file lock 500 licenses isn't a bad deal - that's $3.60 USD a license to have it protected from piracy (assuming you do sell all 500 licenses, that is).EastBoundSounds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:40 pm VPS wanted to charge us $1800 for 500 licenses to use they're key file system. $45 USD is reasonable, IMHO.EastBoundSounds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:40 pm with that being said I will put the Acoustic Guitar Expansion on sale today till the end of December for $45. That is the best offer I can give for this pack.

What spec/system is giving you these problems? It definitely isn't common.MirkoVanHauten wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 3:08 pmJust saying: I've tried the current demo again. Vengeance should take a %, not asking for money's before reel sales. Everybody could win...
After that, it's their business, your business and everybody manage it like he wants.
I hope you will sell a lot of copies of your sound set , you put a lot into it, same for vengeance, nobody fooled nobody. People's buy, don't buy...business goes on !

we do offer % for sound designers who release their expansion as an official expansion through us. But the released XP must meet our standards and our taste. For example the Ambition XP did so. We did not want to release the EastBoundsounds Guitar expansion however.

I find it quite a coïncidence that after me promoting the retrovenger skin, suddenly vps comes with a free vintage skin.
Sorry Manuel, that's not how you keep third party working for your project.
This is bad marketing and doing harm to your own project to people who believe in it, work for it and make it big. I hear complains from allot of people like this.
Other synth developers have gone under because of similar ego defensive marketing.
We are not competition, we work for you and your synth to make it a big seller. It's a win win.
I hope you see this one day.

Haha, this is how Vengeance was built: “sampling” from existing records, copying basically everything from Air Music Technology (Phalanx is essentially a dumbed-down Transfuser 2, clearly they didn’t have Air’s resources at that time). Only thing left is to “leak” that Avenger was in fact inspired by Rapid. This is how you make monnnnay, babee!

Exactly and I have lost alot of Respect for Rene and Manuel over this. They never even thought about using the key file system to protect other peoples expansions until I brought it to their attention and asked to use it and they tried to hustle me instead of working with me.godly wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 7:55 pmOh they do that with you alsoEastBoundSounds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:40 pmgodly wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:30 amIf it's 100 presets handcrafted, in respect the work and it's worth the price.EnochLight wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 6:41 am$60 USD???!!! interesting. i wonder what others would say about it? cause also Simon a great sound designer made presets and i dunno if he had bad experiences with them.EastBoundSounds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:18 pmExactly and I have lost alot of Respect for Rene and Manuel over this. I simply can't believe you're posting this story in the middle of the Avenger thread... while trying to sell Avenger presets.EastBoundSounds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:18 pm Exactly and I have lost alot of Respect for Rene and Manuel over this. Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.
