I bought them back in the spring I think, and I really like them... note that one of them is specifically an MPE (and not touche/lie) expansion, so it depends on what you're buying it for. But I have a RoliSeaboard and a Touche so they work great for me, either way...
Note, though, that I absolutely LOVE my touche, far more than I ever thought I would, so any sounds that work well for it I find to be totally musical...

Me too, it really has been the major highlight in my studio these last three years. It's unbelievably expressive and a delight in every way.
EDIT Just got Noisy. If you already have a Touche then this is essential. Really wonderful expressive integration.

Okay, I just bought Noisy (as a Touche owner) and need to underscore/amplify what pinki said above. I just spent 20 minutes with the first 4 sounds only (so about 1% of the ones that come pre-mapped for Touche) and essentially I would say that if you bought Touche but don't buy Noisy (even just from the perspective of buying "soundbanks for Touche") you should sell all your synths and only ever play the banjo going forward.
Noisy + Touche = AMAAAAAAAAAZING
Serious no-brainer, far more than I even guessed...

I am always on the lookout for synths with a different approach, so you do have my interest.
But not offering a demo is, to be polite, not the smartest idea, all the more the demos a far from convincing me that this synth is unique, while the price (even the introductory price) is, let's say: ambious - which both makes it absolutely necessary to test it for myself.

I thought about getting it, but the sounds didn't click with me. Several had that samey sort of tinnyness to them. Could have been my ears at the time - YMMV.

OK, so I'm a little late here, but I just bought Noisy. I wasn't really aware of it - and was spending all my (physical modeling) time watching (and buying) Plasmonic
Although a lot of the sounds are samey - I like it, and I'll spend some time learning to program it because it's different.
I do not have a Touche - do you guys *really* recommend the Touche?
(I've been using my Nektar P1 MIDI controller and the ribbon controller on my old yamaha keyboard)
If so, can I ask a few questions?
- does the Touche map the 2 Expression controls and the 2 FX ones for it's 4 main axes?
- if so, I imagine it's easy enough to change these - but then you're going to need different CC mappings for different instances of Noisy.
It's weird that you only get 8 CC mappings - so does Lie let you store different instances of Noisy - with different CC mappings (a Noisy "preset"?)
- I use Reaper, so would I load Lie as a VST in Reaper, and then Noisy as a VST in Lie?
- does this work OK?
- or is it better to just use the Touche as a MIDI input device in Reaper and set up the CC mappings yourself (easy enough, but you're back to the problem of needing different settings for different instances of Noisy)
If nobody wants to talk about it, I can always send these questions to Expressive E, as they seem keen to answer questions
EDIT I see that the Touche does (from earlier in the thread) map the 2 Expression controls and the 2 FX ones for it's 4 main axes. So do you just leave these and use them all the time? (And add in 4 more of your own) These are global, so I was thinking you'd want to map different things for different patches - but maybe not...

OK - I see there is some good documentation for Touche and Lie, so I'm getting my head around how they work.
Seriously considering this...

I really enjoy my touché, nothing else like it really, its not MPE, its something else!
there are 2 versions, the one just for software (the SE) is great value at around £200 as you are also getting Lie and a ton of presets....you can pick them up second hand as well. I have the more expensive one that has CV outputs etc for hardware, but these are quite a bit more (i got a deal on mine B stock or I would probably have just got the SE....)

Thanks SLiC,
So, it looks like a Lie patch contains the synth, it's preset and the Touche setup.
Is that right?
That would be so much better for Noisy, as I was thinking you'd probably want different setups for different Noisy patches.
I guess it's the same for Diva/Serum etc?
So does Lie send actual synth automation to the synth - rather than CC16-CC19?
So no matter how diva is set up, I can just a set a Touche motion to, say, "cutoff frequency"? (even if it's set to CC87)
This would be ideal. Then if you don't use Lie, you'd just set Diva (or Noisy or whatever) up to receive CC16-19 - and it works like a normal controller?
Also - when you "tap" the touche - that just triggers MIDI notes? (depending what you're holding down on the keyboard) That's what it looks like in the videos.
I'm very close to getting this. I only need the SE, as I'd only use it with soft synths.
Anyway - I'm going to look at the documentation some more.

The 'synth;' it contains is free sample based patches for the provided UVI Workstation. It also loads all of your VST instruments (including noisy!) and has hundreds of new pre-mapped pre-sets for many popular softsynths (Massive X, Serum, Diva etc).
Yes, like your mod wheel but 3D so you can effect chords etc.

Not exactly, it doesn't trigger midi notes, those is still just the keyboard when you press the keyboard notes. But they often set up the modulation so you don't hear the notes when you play them, but tapping the touche will trigger modulation quickly that can make it sound like notes are triggered, for example if it's volume or a filter being modulated in a way to hear it those notes.

Ahh OK - so if I record it, the DAW will just show a bunch of automation data - but it will still "play back" the synth, and make sounds?
