back in the 1960s, a wave of what was called Dalekmania hit the UK, as young fans of Doctor Who found they loved the homicidal xenophobic pepper pots from Skaro. Why, it got so intense that at one point a beat group called the Go-Gos (no relation) had a hit single about spending Yule with one of them.
As you can tell, that single was incredibly twee and saccarhine - and was incredibly naive about the Dalek's attitude towards humans.
Now, with The Doctor's revival in the hearts and minds of new fans, why not a revival of this old chestnut?
I've endevoured to make it even more twee music-wise - but I also managed to convince Dalek Khan to help me give an updated commentary.

Host: Cubase Studio 4.1 on Power Mac G4 MDD
vocals - Me through Apex dynamic mike/ART Tube MP
Dalek Khan - as above, through various Cubase plug-ins (Amp Simulator, Ring Modulator, Roomverb SE)
guitars - Peavey Predator Plus through Digitech RP-250
bass - Peavey Millennium BXP through Johnson J-Station
drums - Groove Agent 2
organ - LinPlug Organ 3
synth pad - Sonic Synth 2 (thanks Squids!)
special thanks to Hong Kong Cavalier from the Stomp Tokyo forum for finding the original single, and Nicholas Briggs for being so open in interviews on how to produce a Dalek voice

So many things to apologize for...
1. Couldn't stay away for this one
2. the umpteen things wrong with the mix
3. the mastering job that was quicker than the song duration
4. the song duration
5. more saliva than usual
5.5. the extraordinarily late entry
6. anything I missed - oh yeah the bass sound
