a quicky. yeah, it could be developed more, but i laid on my back listening to it a bunch of times before i deemed it fine as-is... so enjoy it as-is if
you can.

My Feedback

Music - 8.5
Instruments - 9
Performance - 9.5
Mix - 9.5

Overall - 9.125

Comments: Creepy sounding and catchy all at the same time. Hard to pull off. Like the percussion on this one. I see you have a lot of stuff listed but I don't see the kind of reverb used unless I missed it.

Okay, gotta ask, cause I have freeverb 3 as well. How do you go about creating your own IR? What's the procedure? Do you need special software?

I just watched this video.

How does he turn white noise into a reverb? I am totally befuddled as to how this works.

If I hear a 303 I expect a prodigy breakbeat and swagger :)

I think it could use a bit more melody instead of atmosphere. Nice mix though.
II think it would be cool to hear in a game like the old crusader

Sounds like Knight Rider gone rogue! :0)

That's a compliment by the way! :0)

For a 'quickie' it works very well.

Mix is a bit flat for me at times, but that's not surprising considering the time spent on the whole thing! :0)

There are great melodies weaving around each other everywhere in this one! :0)

The combination of vintage sounds with some intricate sequencing is compelling. This could work as soundtrack material -- for sci-fi or mysteries. The slap synth bass gives it a definite 80s feel which is not a bad thing. No complaints on the mix.

Great stuff especially for a few hours of effort. :tu:

Maybe it was your initial post comment but it did feel like it could use something but after a second listen it seemed to be just fine as is. Could be one catches it all the second time.

Interesting... enjoyably so :)
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

thanks for dropping by, Mark.

my thoughts exactly on the melody content. my knight rider
synth "Energy Pro" seems to be getting lots of use lately
i'm a little curious where you think the mix was flat.
i'm guessing it was the bass. i did use some overdrive on it
adding to the already high compression on the EVM bassline
samples. :borg: :dog:

Yes, the bass to some extent, I think is part is of it.

Also, it all seemed quite reverb heavy by your standards, (usually something I overdo)...Maybe the soundstage from front to back is a touch too samey?

NOT big points at all! :0)

Sound allot like 80's' Synthwave,Retro Electro Music. You nailed the sound very good !
Mix sounds clean as well. I'm a big fan of the drums you used :)

Would sound good indeed in a video game ^^

Nice perky track!
Like the bass and the pad sounds best...
Well done!
