For me the two workflow killers are
1- no dropdown from within sequencer to choose other sequencers , this is invaluable when one screen has gui controls ( see screenshot )
And secondly , the inability to pin a vst window ...so that it stays on top

I have probably asked these in the past , but just wanted to make sure >

In short, yes to both. I've worked recently on a few other things related to your first request, things to make it easier to move between objects, but I don't want to reveal too much about that improvement until I've got the code into a shape where I'm 100% sure that I can do what I want it to do.
