When you add an instance of a step clip in a drum sampler track, the available drum pads are automatically assigned on the clip. After creating the step clip and some time later decide to add a sample to the sampler, is there a way of making the step clip to automatically follow this addition?
Also, is there a way to make creation of a new step clip recognise a drum sampler that is wrapped in a wrack?

There's isn't a way to automatically do it. You need to add another channel to the step clip manually.
