Last time I checked the demo, one year ago, it doesn't but someone told me it was going to be implemented. Phantom copies are, clips that do reference to the same content, so if you modify one of them all the other phantom copies will be modified.

So there's a bad way of doing this?

That is not the same fyi.

If you spread out and not have same clips close to eachother, you edit midi information in one and it will still be editied in the other even if they are not close together. Like linked clips. And no bitwig does not have it. Its sad because its so useful.

Please don´t missunderstand me, i said "kind a similar" that doesn´t mean "the same" :dog:  ... only tried to give an alternative but maybe it helps anyway (in some kind of rare situations) :tu:

I just dont see whats similar about it . Since phantom copies do not excist the only choise is to future request. there is nothing that is similar about it in bitwig and there is no work around then just working a bit more for now :tu:

I think "Clip Symbols" are a better description than phantom copies.

From a programming perspective, this isn't as trivial as you would think to implement. For one, you need some type of "Symbol editor/Symbol state" to drill into a real base clip to edit.

Depending on how Bitiwg has implemented clips, the actual references may exists and it might be easier since they have implemented this from the beginning.

Hello, I'm coming back one year later. Do Bitwig already support Phantom/Reference clips? I cannot read one year of information :D
