Repro-1 Presets Thread

Hi,
there is something wrong with Ingo's Patch P5 Helicopter.

After pressing a key the sound starts with some seconds delay.

Bug?

Maybe it's "approaching from a distance"? Can't remember, does it fade in?

No, it starts very low (-30 db) and after some seconds it jumps to normal volume.

I came up with the main part of this patch over 30 years ago with my Pro-One. You have to move up the Mod Wheel before it starts to sound like a helicopter. Has lots of attack, so may take a bit of time to fade in, as it approaches from a distance. If you increase resonance, and play with the cutoff knob, it mutates into a flying saucer from another galaxy. U-he can have this as a factory preset (or any others I post) if they wish.

Great sounds! But do you have a more actual version of Repro-1? I am on rev. 5107 and when loading "SEQ Billies seq 01" I get "Plug-In too old for Preset". I there a higher revision available already?

Rev. 5107 is the latest and works for me. You using PC or Mac? What is your DAW?

Hmmm, after checking the patch out, I don't think it is a bug per sé. It's about the pulse width of the sync slave oscillator, in conjunction with key scaling of the oscillators. At low pitch Osc A has zero pulse width, so you can't hear much. And because Glide is slow, it takes some time to fade in.

The final version won't reset the internal note to C1 anymore when a preset is switched, so that'll improve the situation.
