Yes, Sfz seems to have taken over Sf2 nowadays, with more possibilities of expression, but it is still an unknown world to me.
Some years ago, i tried to install Sforzando, without succes, something with my pc/windows i guess, i gave it up and went back to my Sf2 players.

I always felt it was difficult, until today, to find good piano soundfonts vs the other instruments.

Before switching to vst's, i used small ones, as i am not a pianist, and piano parts in my tracks were recorded alongside various other instruments.
I have gathered them here, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HX7CPJ ... tv2yu/view, they might be of interest, especially for those who use an older pc/laptop with very little ram.

I included "take1" player, wich i discovered recently, and is interesting for allowing to adjust (especially with the "filter" knob) the tone of a piano to your liking.
Back then, I could only find one decent piano. Today there are at least five really good ones.
Could you please list them ? I am curious to see if i know them, and how they sound, thanks!

Most of the pianos here:

Unfortunately, nothing really convincing.

Other great SFZ players include BassMidi VST (also compatible with SF2, and does a GREAT job at that), TX16Wx and Sfizz. Speaking of SF2 players, have you given the new Gotcha a try?

EDIT: I almost forgot. Two pianos from KaleidonKep99 you can try:

I actually just have had the luck to find an older version (1.845) of Sforzando which runs smoothly in my 32-Bit Windows 7.

About the pianos, thanks for the recommendation, but it seems i am definetly being too spoiled by the use of vst's to appreciate the soundfont ones now.
When you have tasted better, it is hard to go back !
