Pretty interesting class-A audio compressor by Frederick Alonso,
inspired by analog Pultec, Thermionic and API 2500 circuits.

PC, 32bit only atm, jbridged working fine.
Have some issues with it, but see for yourself ...

Dev is asking for email adress to download,
but I think it`s ok to be informed about progression.

If I use too much "seduction", will I fall asleep? :help:

(Is it kind of a "soft knee"?)

@Tricky-Loops:

Input: Original volume signal that feeds the Infinity.

Attack: Very Subtle time difference on incoming peaks behavior.

Release: Very Subtle time difference on tales from loud peaks.

Seduction: Can be called Reduction, 10 is an extreme setting.

Ratio: How much the Seduction will have effect on the overal volume.

Lo / Hi: Select a frequency between 30-250 HZ.

– / +: How much Lo/Hi volume that side-chains the compressor.

Sweetness: Boost overal Low or High frequencies.

Drive: Can distort your sounds, be carefull.

Tube: Add some real Lundahl tube transform signal > give more details.

Original: Add the original signal at the end of the compressor (Parallel).

:-P

I haven't even downloaded it yet and you already know everything? :o

How (good) does the (tube) saturation sound?

Knobs are simply too lazy and need a lot of effort (space) to move. Almost unusable, which is a shame.

The default gain is set to -4dB, but the saturation compensates the gain loss.

Knobs are absurdly unusable :drunk: Looks pretty though.

Hey guys,

Nice to see some support here. :tu:

I just wanted to see around for someone that can help me on getting this on Mac to.
You see I'm a Windows programmer and if you know someone that can help me, would be welcome!
It was a hard-coding job for me, took almost 3 years.

As you mentioned the knobs are subtle, but there is a reason for it.
If you work in a big studio with good sound like ours, this tool is handful.
I can imagine that you don't hear much difference on smaller speakers...
Think in colors, you want grey but there is only white and black.
With the subtle parameter (0.001% boost per pixel) you get a really nice gradient of grey.

Most VST's are just to loud in my opinion and overkill. The meaning of this VST is subtle change and serious helper at the bottom end. If you know how to use, it does more good to sound than bad.

Presets and extra output level, routing switches will come later in the exclusive edition. (Not FREE)

Enjoy :phones:

"Subtle" can already be achieved while holding Shift on your keyboard, no need for an overkill.
I have 8" studio monitors, I don't know if they are small enough?

Anyway, thanks for the freebie, I hope you will rethink the knob movement speed, it is a workflow killer.

Yes, it really is. I've been using it this morning - I like what I'm hearing so far and I could see a use for this in my work but the knob movement speed is already giving me RSI type pain from having to move the mouse the full height of my screen 4 times(!!!) to go the full range of each knob. I would really appreciate it if you re-think this and make it work as users expect - one can still turn knobs subtly without having it forced in this way  . I'm aware that this will be used in a subtle way but while initially trying to get a grip on what it can do it's been a very tedious process. I do appreciate that's it's for free but I think this will be a major factor in whether or not people use it.
