What are peoples favourite distortion plugins free or otherwise. I have a good few , Ohmicide, Devastor, various stomps in whatever formatsz camelphat, but banaan electrique keeps getting mentioned when I ask about distortions, but that's a reaktor ensemble and I sold reaktor (mistake)

So are there any really good distortion units that are real sound manglers that I don't know about ?

I will be using them mainly for distorting big heavy kick drums for the dutch hardcore sound, so really after some new plugs to try.

One plug-in which is rarely mentioned but I've had good results with is Nomad Factory Garbage LSD. Feels like a solid one, and developed by Dmitry Sches too.

For distorted kicks I would have thought D16's Decimort would be perfect

For more complex sound-mangling, Izotope's Trash 2 - multiband distortion, 2 x mulitband filters (with envelopes and lfos for each band), convolution, and delay, with options to change routing order of each effect. Not something I'd draw on if I needed something simple but goes pretty deep. Fairly regular sales and included in various bundles so I'd wait for a deal, think I got mine for $30 or so.

I've wondered about this one as it popped up in the KVR Marketplace but there's been no comments on it.
