Tested the dxshell and it actually works better than I expected.
It auto-located the dx stuff I had installed (some Sonar stuff) without needing any action, easy.

Working fine in Live 10 (I guess this means it should work in every DAW that supports VST2), works like waveshell, shows up as a folder in the browser.
Yes. Worked perfectly! Using Dreamstation in energyXT now :tu:

I have versions 7 and 8 -- no DX support. But you don't have to take my word for it:

It worked fine for certain DXi Plugins, but unfortunately not for Pentagon or the Roland GrooveSynth. People on the CW forums report that it had problems with a couple of the Sonitus plugins as well.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Already mentioned, but I do use Dreamstation specifically with REAPER on occasion
