Been using Tracktion a fair bit recently, in particular with Wav files.
I should trawl the save folder - but could someone explain to me the structure that Tracktion uses to save audio/waves and projects in general - and whether it saves its own version of an audio file or just edit information but not the raw audio.

Saving an edit just saves references to the audio files if thats what you mean.
Best way to get all your files in one place is to export the edit as an archive..
