Where has all the fuss gone?

I don't manage to get here as often as I would like,
(I don't get to use my Tracktion as much as I would like either.)
When the news of T2 was first announced it seemed that the forum was full of "what ifs" and everyday there seemed to be someone screaming their excitement at the possibilities of what was going to be in the new version (especially from one individual whos sole mission in life was to check Mackies pages every hour
I came on tonight and nothing. The Mackie site has a price now and a shipping(?) date and I was half expecting this forum to be buzzing with excitement.
Surely its not the same as Christmas morning when the shape of the box and the colour of the wrapping is better than the present?

There's really not much left to talk about until we can actually get our hands on it. It was announced weeks ago, and since then there haven't been any changes to the T website, so it's only natural for the discussion to die down.
By the way, where do you see a shipping date? As far as I can see, it still just says "March".

In seriousness, even if most people won't admit it, we are very very very very very very very tired of waiting.
Software and updates are like smack, if you don't get it when needed, it's very very painful.......but eventually you will get over it. (hmmmmmmmmmmm, how would he know about that??????)

I'm so bored of waiting for it, I've spent the money that I'd been saving.

The buzz is still here, it's just not as vocal. As it was said, everything's been talked about, and questions have been answered where they could be. I think most people here are just sitting back and being patient, knowing that asking and complaining won't do anything.
As for the wait, I'd rather wait than have buggy software, which is what ALOT of major developers have done. And those that have waited until it's ready have been pretty great.
When T2 is released, many will come out of the woodwork, chatterinig day and night about their new toy. But until then, it'll probably be a little quieter around here. But it's almost here!

It's tiresome. I actually used T1 to compose a song for the february KVR contest. The only other T user that I know entered the contest was Lunch Money, but I don't know if he used T or not.
Anyhow, I got 21st place out of 50 entries - not T's fault at all, btw.
Maybe they are actually putting in a better time stretch algo

Heh, 21st isn't bad at all. I got 35th. Better than I expected, actually, considering:rockstar_not wrote:It's tiresome. I actually used T1 to compose a song for the february KVR contest. The only other T user that I know entered the contest was Lunch Money, but I don't know if he used T or not.

a) nobody knew if we were stepping out of character or trying something new or not, and so we all just ended up voting for what we liked, and:
b) not many here listen to country
There were definitely other Tracktion users, though I couldn't come up with a complete list. Nikp200 (7th place) uses T if I'm not mistaken. Possibly Patrick9 as well?
Regarding the T2 buzz, though-- it's simply that it's all been discussed and our excited energy has worn off. That doesn't mean that the same people who were buzzing before don't care about T2 anymore, but rather they're just exhausted by talking about it.

not that i use traktion or have any kind of interest in it
, but on cmusic issue this month there's even a photo of the new traction... it seems that the cm crew is already juggling with it
