Yeah, it's definitely got those things down pretty well. Much better than Nuendo and many others too. We all have different needs in our apps. I'm glad Tracktion keeps it simple, because that suits me. You're definitely going to find more robust apps out there, they just cost more, obviously. Once the digitalfishphones guy announced he was working for Magix, I was ready to buy, but simplified my needs later on.

Having two UAD-1's freed me up from having to rely on my tracking package's effects (never use them). I also send out anything worthy of mastering, but "mastering at home" is an debate unto itself that I certainly don't have the energy to argue about.

Best of luck with your tunes -

Don't forget Final Mix.. that contains the code for good quality EQ and compression if they choose to split it into seperate plugs. It wouldn't suprise me much if more Acuma plugs appear in v2..

OK, there are several people who have expressed an interest, so I'm not sure how to proceed fairly.

The first person to PM me willing to do PayPal gets it. I'm <this close> to affording the Yamaha, I'd love to order it today.

Thanks!

OK, it's officially sold! Mr. Slater's Parrot is a new Tracktion owner!

I'll still poke my head in here and see how T2 is etc. My time as a Tracktion owner was well served by this awesome community! Peace out to all y'all!

According to this Mackie announcement at NAMM 2005 there *will* be more Acuma plugs...

Among the most exciting news for the T2 update is the inclusion of a full suite of high-quality plug-ins from some of the industry’s most respected names. The collection, spanning several additional CD-ROM’s packaged in the boxed retail version, includes a full range of high-end effects processors from Acuma Labs, mda and Raw Materials Software, as well as IK Multimedia’s popular AmpliTube LE guitar amp modeler.

Read that again, "includes a full range of high-end effects processors from Acuma Labs, mda and Raw Materials Software," doesn't necessarily mean multiple plugs from Acuma. Not that it doesn't mean that, but don't read more into that then there is.

**Edit: Actually, reading that again I'm pretty sure is is only FinalMix. Advertising you are including the free mda plugs and the native Tracktion plugs sounds like they are padding the press release.

True...

Either way I hope Mackie add the rest of the Acuma plugs to T2.

Good point Braj.

Thanks. I just don't want people to get all upset when only one Acuma plug is in the box, and it's the 'same old' one from T1. They didn't get what they were 'promised'. You know how people can get, some will feel cheated and moan on for days.

A long long time ago when I reported my FinalMix problems to Mackie (you know the one... the non-loading presets one...) the person who responded to me indicated fairly clearly that there would be new Acuma plug-ins in T2.

I don't recall the exact wording, but it was something like, "We're looking at tighter integration of FinalMix and other Acuma Labs plug-ins."

I'm pretty sure we'll see at least another one or two.

But there's no official announcement as such. Do you really want ron saying later 'WTF, we're been cheated"? Until the plug list is official, I think it's best not to assume too much.

Whatever Ron says is whatever Ron says. ;) I think the rest of us are big enough to know that hear-say and rumour are NOT promises.

I disagree.

Braj is correct, IMV.

It only takes few people to get carried away with themselves and you quickly have a whole forum of mis-information.

Unless it has been officially announced, at this point conjecture is a bad thing. I'd like to say, if it were clearly labelled as such, that there would be no issue. Unfortunately, someone, somewhere, will grab the wrong end of the stick and bulld a whole new universe for themselves and a bunch of like-minded others to move to. :(
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

At the time of the communication, T2 wasn't even really on the radar, which can mean that at this point in time the statement may no longer be relevant.

No big deal either way. I'm happy with Final Mix. ;)
