I hope Jules didn't spend too long on the colour editor, cos I for one will be leaving it set to "Tracktion Classic" pink and green.. :hihi:

hey, I liked the pastel green. Although, I'd LOVE a nice peacful bright yellow!!!!!!!!!

I shall make it black.... ALLL BLAAACK.... aaaaHAHAHAHAHAAaa-err, actually the green isn't that bad.

But seriously, the pale green seems to make me think the sound is softer. Purely psychological. The theme in the T2 previews looks better to me. More neutral.

Anyhow, I got 21st place out of 50 entries - not T's fault at all, btw.

Another T user who was in the February contest. Sitting right next to you in the results at 20. To be honest, I'm quite happy just breaking into the top half in that contest.

But yes, I've noticed the buzz has died and I am a bit tired of waiting as well. The one thing that has kept me going is the Reason countdown to the March 10th release. It's the other music software besides T that I use for almost everything I do.
Formally the mephit called DrakeBP

T1 is the only host I have actually gotten really close to compleation on any song, (that I have done by myself). I am only vocals and mix down away from done on several tunes. The work flow just blows away everything else Ive tried.

I am not sure if I really need T2 anymore. They may need to kick up the hype a bit more.

I'm new to T and very excited about T2!

I would definately rather wait for a fininshed(no-bugs) T2 than, have a buggy T2 in hand.

I actually started using T1 to record my simple acoustic guitar thing for the Feb comp. Problem was that I could not figure out how to mix two mono tracks, both hard panned L+R so that they are routed prefader to a single instance of PSPMixpressor crossmixed+panned like I know how to in Sonar using the send busses. I would have used T1 except for this failure. Maybe I'm just missing something.

I think a pretty simple rack filter would have done this for you. I'm still a newbie on racks, but I'm sure that others here that are better with how they would could knock one out quick. I started to try to figger it out while posting here but got a bit lost.

Actually, senderella would probably have done this even easier. You are using ModulR's senderella, right?

If not, here it is - best addition to T that exists in my opinion:
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1433.html

Use the simplified version. Get your mono piezo channel panned hard left. Put an instance of senderella after the pan filter. Ditto for the mic channel, but pan it hard left. On another track, put an instance of senderella before your PSP Mixpressor plug. Adjust send/return amounts as desired, voila - I think you have it.

you can do it withotu racks:

track #1 and #2 are your mono tracks, with the pan set hard left/right.

track #3 contains PSP mixpressor.

Select tracks 1 and 2 and in the properties-panel set the track output to track 3.

Done!
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Valley,

Elegant solution - I always forget the re-route output feature.

beardedone - Ignore what I wrote; except, you will need to still do your hard panning on the two mono tracks.

Gordon, you should have just popped in here for a moment. Any number of us could have told you how easy it is. :D

Thanks guys. I looked at using racks but got very lost again. Anyhow Valley's solution is so elegant. I feel embarrassed not seeing my self. :P
Fortunately it was easy in S4 and anyway I have much more experience with Sonar than with Tracktion.

Next time I do some audio recording I will try Tracktion again but not in the near future since recording audio is big PITA right now.

Cheers,
Gordon

That would have been a good idea. But when I am working in DAW mode I turn off all of my background services including virus scan stuff so going online is not a quick thing - I have to run msconfig to turn on my antivirus etc. and reboot.
